How to Receive USDT TRC-20 Safely

USDT on TRON is fast and cheap, which also makes it popular with scammers. A few checks before and after you receive USDT TRC-20 prevent most problems.

Before you share your address

• Use a wallet you control. A non-custodial wallet keeps the private keys with you. Compare options on our wallets page.
• Activate the address. A brand-new TRON address has to receive TRX before it can do anything. Keep a little TRX for fees, or plan to rent energy.
• Double-check the network. USDT exists on many chains. TRC-20 addresses start with T; funds sent from another network to a TRON address are usually lost.

Before you accept a payment
